Description of 3M industrial epoxy adhesives
3M epoxy adhesives from the Scotch-Weld range are structural adhesives designed for strong bonding on various surfaces, particularly effective on metals and composites. They are not suitable for low surface energy plastics.
These adhesives can be rigid, flexible, or tough, and most are two-component (composed of an epoxy resin and a hardener).
They polymerize at room temperature, with the speed of polymerization varying by reference. The intended application will determine the suitable adhesive choice.
These adhesives are applied using an accessory called the EPX system (Exact Proportioning miXer), which is available in two main models: manual or pneumatic glue guns.
