      What are the characteristics of HM 960?

The HM 960 is a hot melt adhesive featuring a long open time and an adhesive mass based on acrylic polymers. 

Its formulation and translucent nature enable the permanent bonding of difficult-to-adhere materials such as certain plastics, glass, metals, as well as wood, cardboard, and paper.

At room temperature, it comes in the form of a transparent stick, ensuring easy storage and handling.

      Applications

The applications of HM 960 are numerous and varied due to the product's versatility. Notable uses include sealing cartons that are notoriously difficult to bond, such as coated cartons.

It can also be used for sealing packages intended for freezing.

      Product characteristics and customer benefits

It is applied using an electric heating gun, which melts the adhesive at a temperature between 160°C and 200°C. The hot glue guns available on our website that are compatible with this reference include the Adezif PI 350, Adezif PI 351, and Adezif PI 360. The adhesive’s high viscosity ensures good wetting of the substrate, allowing for quick penetration.

Simply apply a bead of adhesive by single coating and assemble the two surfaces to ensure effective bonding. 

Its adhesion after application is nearly instantaneous, resulting in a clean and immediate bond.

It is important to use this product in well-ventilated areas to avoid the accumulation of fumes released by the molten adhesive.
