Overview

Features of the 3M TC/TC-Q LT (formerly Polygun LTQ)

The 3M TC/TC-Q LT Gen. II hot melt applicator (formerly "3M Polygun LT Quadrack") is a heat gun developed by 3M for applying hot melt adhesive at a temperature of around 130°C.

It is identical to the classic TC/TC-Q glue gun and delivers the same performance, but this version is compatible only with the low melt adhesive range.

The new 3M hot melt glue guns stand out for their superior quality and economical design, thanks to an improved, lighter design. They heat up quickly and are easier to use:

    • New soft-touch handle for better comfort
    • New heating chamber for more uniform and smooth heating
    • Faster heating time, ready in 6 minutes
    • Adjustable trigger with customizable pressure and fit for different hand sizes
    • Narrow profile for better visibility and more precise handling
    • Sturdy base for placing the gun vertically without glue dripping between uses
    • Easy nozzle cleaning
    • PTC self-regulating heater: operates on 110 to 230 V
    • No Quadrack converter required!
    • Available accessories: side storage fins

The palm-driven feed handle allows glue extrusion using the palm instead of the finger, making it highly ergonomic and improving user comfort. Additionally, it stays cool thanks to a double-walled, ventilated structure that dissipates heat.

One significant safety advantage is the reduced risk of burns, and the odors and fumes emitted during glue application are greatly minimized. This makes it suitable for use in prisons or ESAT-type workshops.

          Compatible Hot Melt Glues References

It is compatible only with 3M Low Melt adhesives (available on our website): 3M 3762 QLM and 3M 3792 QLM, which perform effectively on expanded polystyrene (without melting it), light plastic, or any other heat-sensitive materials, as well as on wood, cardboard, paper, etc.

With these second-generation models, no Quadrack converter is required; easily swap between Q-type or TC-type hot melt glue sticks.

          Usage Tips

    • Special care must be taken with the gun after use to prevent clogging and the accumulation of adhesive on the exterior of the nozzle.
    • Any glue that may have accumulated inside the nozzle will liquefy during the next use. Be cautious, as the nozzle can be hot during glue application.
    • When the product is hot, it is important to keep it upright and not laid on its side.
