TF770 reinforced acrylic transfer adhesive tape for flexible materials

      Characteristics of the ADEZIF TF770 grid transfer tape

The ADEZIF TF770 is a special transfer adhesive tape, consisting of a polyester mesh embedded in a thick acrylic adhesive mass with a highly aggressive tack.

One of its main applications is for laminating on rough or irregular surfaces such as foams, fabrics, and floor tiles.

Advantages:

• High thickness of 250 µm: This allows for high wetting power, ensuring deep adhesion even on surface irregularities.

• Very aggressive tack: The adhesion is very strong, with immediate bonding at minimal pressure and short contact time. The acrylic adhesive mass is very sticky, making it suitable for various substrates with high and medium surface energy, including metals, wood, foam, fabrics, and flooring. It is not recommended for low surface energy substrates such as PE or PP. For these plastics, the 3M 9627 transfer adhesive is recommended.

• Polyester mesh: The mesh embedded in the adhesive provides conformability to the product, increasing its mechanical strength and resistance to stretching. This makes the product easy to apply and ideal for all types of lamination and bonding on many substrates. The mesh helps to limit substrate stretching and elongation during the lamination process.

• Water, detergent, and alcohol resistance

• Long-lasting durability due to the acrylic adhesive mass, with excellent UV resistance

• Temperature resistance up to 100°C

      What are its industrial applications?

This transfer adhesive is recommended for permanent lamination of:

• Soft materials

• Cross-linked or non-cross-linked PE foams

• Podotactile floor tiles

• Banner seams and connections in the signage industry

• Velvet or car floor carpets

• Wooden panels

      Example application: bonding of podotactile tiles

Since January 1, 2015, regulations require the installation of podotactile tiles to indicate stairways and signal the ascent or descent of steps.

We recommended the ADEZIF TF770 transfer tape to one of our clients for installing podotactile tiles indoors, on concrete, in a covered stadium. They were very satisfied with the results:

      Another application: bonding foam corner protectors

One of our clients requested ADEZIF to bond foam corner protectors in a daycare center. Foam is a rough material and can be difficult to bond. After testing the TF770, they were highly satisfied.

The foam protectors were securely and durably bonded, which is essential for accident prevention, child safety, and impact absorption.

Foam corner protectors are widely used in schools, healthcare facilities, retirement homes, as well as in parking garages and car parks. Securing them effectively and durably is a must!

      Usage and application

Unlike other transfer adhesive tapes (such as ADEZIF TF 024 or ADEZIF TF 069) which are applied using the ATG 700 manual applicator, the ADEZIF TF770 is applied manually. Be sure to clean the surface thoroughly with appropriate cleaning products (cleaning wipes, Loctite 7064, etc.) before application.

Once the surface preparation is complete, apply the transfer adhesive, making sure to apply pressure to the final assembly.
