      What Are the Characteristics of Loctite SF 7064?

Loctite SF 7064 (also known as Loctite 7064) is a cleaner and degreaser used before bonding, painting, thread locking, sealing flat or threaded joints, or for any maintenance operation.

• High-Performance Cleaner: This high-performance cleaner addresses surface residues that interfere with the secondary treatment of a part (such as bonding or painting).

• Effective Surface Preparation: It efficiently removes all traces of:

  • Greases

  • Oils

  • Dirt

  • Cutting fluids

  • Lubricating fluids

  • Dust

• Fast Evaporation and Drying: It evaporates and dries quickly (in less than one minute at 20°C), leaving the cleaned surface completely clean without a greasy film that could hinder the effectiveness or speed of polymerization of adhesives or products applied afterward.

• Versatile Application: Ideal for cleaning metal surfaces, glass, and most plastics. However, it is recommended to conduct a compatibility test beforehand when cleaning plastics before bonding.

• Non-Corrosive and Non-Toxic: Its formula makes it a non-corrosive and non-toxic product. Unlike Loctite 7063, which also serves as a cleaner and degreaser, it does not contain the following solvents: methylal (flammable dimethoxymethane) and ethanol (which can be irritating). This is a significant advantage in terms of health and safety, making it more suitable for professional work environments.

      What Are Its Applications?

It is used to clean and degrease a surface before using products for:
