What are the characteristics of LOCTITE 243 ?
Loctite 243 adhesive is a threadlocker anaerobic adhesive, manufactured par the compagny LOCTITE. That is to say that it prevents loosening of threaded fasteners and protects against galvanic corrosion.
This product is particularly suitable for passive material such as stainless steel and surfaces with metallic deposits. Reference 243 is approved for use in drinking water systems (temperature lower than 82°C).
The strength is medium because the adhesive is blue. Here are the colour codes usually used for threadlockers :
Low strength - Purple
Medium strength - Blue
High strength – Red
