      What Are the Characteristics of ADEZIF PV257?

ADEZIF PV257 is a single-sided adhesive tape made with a PVC backing. Its primary application is as a splice tape for thermoformable film rolls used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

• Thermoforming Process: Thermoforming machines heat a plastic sheet until it becomes flexible and then form it into a mold under pressure.

• Seamless Splicing: These machines are fed by rolls of thermoformable film that need to be changed regularly. To minimize productivity loss, the splice between the ending roll and the new roll can be prepped by adhering the ADEZIF PV257 red PVC tape at their junction.

• Thermoformable Properties: It is designed to be thermoformable itself, ensuring that the splice does not break and that the production line for trays continues seamlessly. The tray containing the splice, marked by PV257, will also be thermoformed and can be easily detected, either optically or visually, allowing it to be ejected afterward. This results in significant productivity gains.

• Ease of Application: Application does not require special tools and can be performed quickly and safely.

• Alternative for Non-Thermoformable Materials: If you need to splice silicone paper rolls or non-thermoformable anti-adhesive films, consider using the ADEZIF PT891 polyester splice tape, which is more suitable for those materials.
