What are the characteristics of 3M 8592 ?
3M 8592 tape is a single sided adhesive tape with polyurethane backing material from the scotch tape range of the manufacturer 3M.
Its main application is in the automotive industry where it is primarily used to protect surfaces against impact, scratches, corrosion and wear.
Its thickness resists against shocks and also helps reduce noise. It is conformable and highly suitable for curved surfaces of a car.
Its acrylic adhesive gives it good resistance over time and high UV resistance so that the sun can’t filter through and damage the paint. Its implementation is easy and most of the time it can be removed without leaving residue or removing the paint.
3M 8591 tape has the same features but is not as thick.
