Overview
What Are the Characteristics of KA820?
The ADEZIF KA 820 tape is a single-sided adhesive featuring a KAPTON (registered trademark) polyimide backing, renowned for its high-temperature resistance: up to 180°C continuously and 250°C at peaks (class H).
- Electrical Insulation: In addition to its ability to electrically insulate sensitive materials, this product is flame-retardant according to UL 510 standards and is also resistant to acids and nuclear radiation.
- Thin and Strong: This backing, highly valued for its heat resistance, has the advantage of being thin (backing thickness: 25 µm, total thickness: 60 µm) while exhibiting excellent mechanical and thermal strength.
- Easy Cutting and Removal: It can be easily cut into rolls or formats (such as pads) and does not leave adhesive residues on most surfaces upon removal.
For What Applications?
Its primary use is to protect and electrically insulate sensitive materials and surfaces such as electric motors, coils, capacitors, cables, or printed circuit boards.
