      Description of 3M YR 500

3M YR500 is a single-sided technical tape with a green color, produced by 3M, composed of:

• a rubber backing

• a brown silicone paper liner

• an acrylic adhesive

The surface to be protected is covered with 3M YR 500 tape, while the unprotected area is blasted with an abrasive material (referred to as media) at high speed using compressed air through a nozzle.
