Description of the 3M 760 hybrid polyurethane sealant
The 3M 760 sealant is a hybrid polyurethane adhesive manufactured by 3M. Part of the “medium module” range of 3M sealants, it provides non-structural bonding and sealing in a single step.
Its unique feature is its excellent initial adhesion on various materials such as wood, fiberglass, concrete, stone, ceramics, most coated metals, polyester, PVC, and ABS plastics. It can generally be used without primers on metals and plastics.
The rapid polymerization under the influence of moisture makes this product highly sought after due to the time and productivity gains during its use. The resulting joint is flexible and durable, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Key Benefits:
UV resistance
Improved aging of the formed joint
"Clean" product: free from halogens, solvents, and isocyanates
No bubbling, even in high temperature and high humidity conditions
The wet joint can be painted; however, it is advisable to conduct preliminary tests with glycol and alkyd paints, as they may not dry on the joint.
The 3M 760 sealant is widely used in the fields of construction, special vehicles (such as trucks and refrigerated trucks), and general industry.
