Foam is a lightweight material whose composition makes it difficult to bond. Not all adhesives are suitable, as they are often too aggressive or too weak. The 3M 74 spray adhesive for foam, from the Scotch-Weld range, addresses this issue.

Its formulation is ideal for bonding foams (synthetic, polyurethane, latex, polyester, upholstery, etc.):

• Bonding different types of foams together, either edge-to-edge or with overlapping.

• Bonding foams to other materials like wood, particleboard, metals, plastics, etc.

One of the unique features of this 3M spray is its lace spray pattern, with:

• An adjustable nozzle to control the flow: a Low (L) setting with a 2 cm spray width and a High (H) setting with a 7 cm spray width

• Minimal spray mist

• High coverage

• Orange color for clear visualization of the glue line

• Precise application without risk of overloading or dripping, making it economical

This spray requires double-sided application, similar to 3M 80 contact adhesive sprays: both surfaces to be bonded must be coated with adhesive.

      Usage Tips for 3M 74 Foam Spray Adhesive

• First, select the spray width (L or H position), then spray both surfaces to be bonded from a distance of 12-18 cm. Let it dry for 10 to 30 seconds, then press firmly to assemble!
• It is important not to forget to purge the aerosol after use: turn the aerosol upside down and spray until the nozzle no longer releases adhesive.
