Description of ADEZIF PR 212 Adhesion Promoter
The ADEZIF PR 212 primer (formerly known as PA 212) is an adhesion promoter designed to increase the surface energy of a substrate before applying adhesive tape or glue. This significantly improves the compatibility between the acrylic adhesive and the substrate.
Versatile Application: The PR212 adhesion promoter is highly versatile but is particularly appreciated and used on surfaces considered difficult to bond, such as polyolefin plastics like polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) and cellular or compact EPDM.
UV Tracer: The PR212 features an integrated UV tracer that allows for the verification of proper product application during the production process using a UV lamp or other UV radiation devices. This system aids in productivity improvement and quality control.
How to Apply?
Before use, the ADEZIF PR212 primer must be shaken vigorously. It can then be applied using various methods such as a spray gun, brush, or cloth on a clean surface free of dirt or grease.
Evaporation Time: After applying, allow the solvent to evaporate (ideally wait 5 minutes) before applying the adhesive tape or glue and proceeding with the assembly.
Storage: Keep the primer in its original closed container to avoid solvent evaporation.
