The Bostik Born2Bond Gasketing anaerobic adhesives are single-component alternatives that effectively replace conventional pre-formed gaskets on metal flanges.

Flexible, durable, and resistant to wear and shear, they can be used for both installation and preventive maintenance.

These adhesives ensure complete surface-to-surface contact, providing a cohesive and durable assembly that withstands vibrations, extreme temperatures, and exposure to oils, solvents, and water.

They also offer a more uniform distribution of stresses and, unlike conventional gaskets, do not require trimming.

      Description of Bostik Born2Bond GA-WL anaerobic gasket

The WL (white label) version of the gasketing range has been developed to improve working conditions and simplify the evaluation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) criteria for new products without compromising performance.

It uniquely contains no substances classified as hazardous under the CLP regulations regarding the classification, labeling, and packaging of substances and mixtures (Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008).

The GA-WL comes in two levels of viscosity and bonding strength:

• GA-WL instant gasket: 5000 - 20000 mPa.s / Shear strength on steel: 8.5 N/mm²
• GA-WL flexible gasket: 23000 - 35000 mPa.s / Shear strength on steel: > 5 N/mm²

      Use of Bostik GA-WL

Typical applications:

Instructions for use:

1. To achieve the best results, clean all surfaces (internal and external) with a cleaner, such as Born2Bond Pre-Bonding Cleaner, and wait for it to evaporate completely.

2. The product is designed for tightly fitting flange parts with gaps up to 0.25 mm.

3. Apply manually in a continuous bead or via screen printing on one of the flange surfaces.

4. If the polymerization speed is too slow, use an activator such as Born2Bond Anaerobic Activator.

5. Tighten the flanges after application.

6. The cured product can be removed using a remover such as Born2Bond Gasket & Adhesive Remover and a soft scraper.

7. Finish the cleaning with a soft cloth soaked in Born2Bond Pre-Bonding Cleaner.

Caution: Always wear safety glasses and gloves when applying adhesives!
